Student Government Civic Engagement

The Department of Student Government’s Civic Engagement includes planning and implementing group community service events, collaborating in the implementation of alternative breaks for students, leading peer education/awareness campaigns on social issues or current political topics, and collaborating with charity and philanthropies in the local, national, international community, as well as being an umbrella for all service-oriented student organizations on the FGCU campus.

The Department is composed of, but not limited to, the following positions and individual committee’s which are open to any students willing to make a difference:

• Assistant Director
• Coordinator of Alternative Breaks
• Coordinator of Hunger and Homelessness Programs
• Coordinator of Peer Education/Awareness Campaigns
• Coordinator of Charity/Philanthropic Events
